About RJ Ramsey

Hi, my name is RJ Ramsey. I am the CEO of Scattrd Seed Media and a Director of Photography based in Augusta, Georgia. At Scattrd Seed Media, we specialize in delivering premium-quality narrative films, music videos, weddings, corporate videos, and commercials, with a passion for excellence and storytelling that leaves every client more than satisfied.

I am a proud graduate of Full Sail University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinematography with high honors, graduating as Salutatorian with a final GPA of 3.97. I was honored with the Course Director’s Award for Directing and received the prestigious Advanced Achievement Award, recognized by all of my instructors for outstanding performance and dedication to the craft. I am also an inductee of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, with roots in Wrens, Georgia, my life has been shaped by the vibrant energy of the city and the heartfelt spirit of the South—an upbringing that sharpened my creative eye and deepened my appreciation for storytelling across cultures and experiences.

I wrote my first screenplay in the 5th grade and have continued writing ever since, blending my lifelong love of music and storytelling into every project. With nearly 30 years of experience writing, composing, and producing music, and a 20-year career as a retired U.S. Army veteran, I bring discipline, creativity, and passion to every set I step on.

During my time at Full Sail, I wrote, produced, directed, shot, edited, and scored 11 short films, two of which were recognized student projects. I am proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Firefly.

​

My most recent short film was selected for screening at the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center’s 30th Annual African American Film Marketplace and S.E. Manly Short Film Showcase. In addition, I was honored with the “Most Aspiring Filmmaker” award at the 2024 Urban Short Film Festival.

Looking ahead, I am preparing to launch my first feature film, fueled by a relentless drive to create impactful stories. Inspired by legends like Spike Lee, I am committed to building a body of work that will resonate for generations to come.

​

Above all, I am a humbled man blessed with a beautiful marriage to my wife, Tynisia, of 27 years. We are the proud parents of four amazing adult children and caretakers of a spirited Australian Shepherd named Charlie.
